Are you a battery killer?

You got a smartphone, 6 months ago and your battery would not even last for all day? In less than an hour, it goes from 90% to 10%. What’s the deal? Ignorance?

People just don’t understand that their bad habits are killing their phone batteries. Don’t be a killer, your battery wants to keep you connected…it really does! In this blog we have mentioned three types of culprits who can be seen in everyday life, killing their phone battery slowly and softly.

Wait until the battery reaches to nil!

This habit is usually found in the younger generation. This is done by allowing their battery to get to 1% before plugging them in for 10-15 minute rushes, allowing the battery to only charge for 15%. And, then again get back to texting, only to plug it back in 15 minutes later at 1% yet again. Thus the cycle keeps on repeating. The battery learns to never operate on a full charge and over time will not fully charge properly.

Overcharging!

These people are not so rare phone user types who leave their phone plugged in for charging all the time. They just love to see their battery full 100% and panic whenever their battery drops to 90%. They plug their phone in at any opportunity. It’s plugged in if it’s not in use. Over time, the battery will learn that most of the battery cells are not to be used. It can’t hold a charge as all the battery cells are not used. Ultimately, the battery will only hold a charge for a very short time.

Left all apps open all the time!

This is quite common, we see so many specimens doing this. They have a number of apps open and they never close them, like ever! When you will tap the home button you will see a number of apps on their iPhone opened and you can spend half an hour swiping and closing to close 10 games, GPS, maps, 50 social networking sites they are addicted to. They smile quizzically and ask does that really matter?

In simple words, we would say yes!! The background refresh on all those apps is killing your battery!  Stop it! If you have more than 15 apps running in the background at any given time, you are this person.
